In Chaupad, 2 or 4 players race their respective coins on a board of 23x5 inches squares to reach the innermost square. The movement of the coins is controlled by the throw of 4 cowrie shells, thus it is known as game of chance. One 23x5 inches cross stitched canvas cloth board, 16 four colored coins, 2 wooden long dice with rules to play & mythological story leaflets. By playing this game, players can improve their concentration, social skills, strategy-building, and problem-solving abilities.
